Pods, blobs, and nests ranging from 14 to 24 inches in diameter, fabricated from reeds, handmade kozo paper, linen, hemp, ramie cord and other mixed media. Coated with kakishibu, a shellac-like Japanese material made from fermented persimmon juice that strengthens, waterproofs, and darkens the paper.
